Processing animal feed with the cube method is one of the processing animal feed that aims to improve the physical stability, shelf life, and nutritional uniformity of feed ingredients, especially forages and grains. This method is carried out by chopping, drying, mixing ingredients, and compaction using mechanical pressure, resulting in a cube-shaped feed that is uniform in size and easy for livestock to consume. This article aims to analyze the cube method on physical characteristics, nutrient values, and the effects of cubing in livestock production systems. This study uses a literature approach by comparatively analyzing research results published in the last decade (2015-2025). The results of the analysis show that the cube method can be an alternative feed processing technology that has the potential to be applied in modern livestock systems, especially in the face of limited fresh forage and maximizing the utilization of agricultural waste.
